Supported BrightSign models
All BrightSign players with HTML5 support, including the LS, HD, XD, and XT series. Models with M.2 SSD storage are recommended for best performance.
Setting up a BrightSign player
The recommended method is via the BrightSign HTTP admin portal. Navigate to your player’s IP address, then configure it to load your Signage Rocket player URL. Alternatively, use an SD card with the configuration file.
Connecting via WiFi
Yes. BrightSign players support both Ethernet and WiFi connectivity. WiFi can be configured through the admin portal or during initial SD card setup.
Difference between BrightSign and SoC displays
BrightSign is an external media player that connects to any screen via HDMI. SoC displays have the player built into the screen itself (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS). SoC is simpler because there is no extra device, but BrightSign offers more processing power and works with any screen — including consumer TVs and legacy displays.
